Carrier Type:
Framed Carrier
There are several different kinds of baby carriers that vary in comfort, support, and style.
Sling
Sling carriers are the most lightweight carriers with the baby reclining in a hammock like position. Because all of the weight ends up on one shoulder and the child's head and neck are supported, sling carriers are generally used for young babies.
Framed
These carriers are designed for older babies (up to about 35lbs) who can sit up by themselves. This type of carrier helps in distributing weight between the wearer's shoulders, hips, and back.
Frameless
Frameless carriers are good for younger babies, as they provide support for a baby's neck and head. Generally, children are able to sit at the front or back of the wearer, facing in or out.
Carry Position:
Back
Carriers allow babies to be carried in front of or on the back of an adult wearer. Some carriers allow for both configurations.
Infant Weight:
Infants up to 48.5 lbs.
